2005Schedule
February 7, 2005, Atlanta March 28, 2005, Atlanta May 2, 2005, Atlanta June 20, 2005, Atlanta August 1, 2005, Atlanta
Effective August 13, 2003, Phase II replaces the NPDES Phase I permit (GAR 100000) with three (3) Phase II permits (GAR 100001, GAR 100002, & GAR 100003). Projects that disturb more than 1 acre
of land must now comply. NPDES requires permittees to provide qualified persons to perform erosion inspections. This course will certify each attendee as a qualified person as defined by the Phase I
NPDES General Permits. The seminar will cover the following topics:
- Environmental Impacts
- Pollution Prevention
- NPDES Phase II Permit Requirements
- Structural Erosion Controls
- Vegetative Erosion Controls
- Inspection Requirements
- Reports and Recordkeeping
Each attendee will receive a course notebook which includes presentation materials as well as NPDES permits and forms, inspection
checklists, sample analysis worksheet, and list of regulatory on commercial information sources. This course has been approved by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and the Georgia Soil and Water
Conservation Commission.
While this course provides information about Phase II requirements, it does NOT qualify as Phase II certification. However,
until the Phase II certification program is available, there is no other approved certification course than Phase I courses such as this.
People who already have the Phase I certification are not required to be retrained at this time. However, certified persons still may want to attend this seminar for the purpose of learning about Phase II requirements (which are currently in effect), improving knowledge of pollution control practices, or to obtain professional development credits.
Course Fee: $175
