NPDES Phase II Advanced Fundamentals (Level 1B)

The Level 1B Advanced Fundamentals Seminar is a two-day course designed to train regulatory enforcement inspectors and non-regulatory inspectors contracted to do regulatory work to accurately inspect land disturbance areas for compliance with state erosion and sedimentation laws. The course will cover several topics such as the role of the inspector, ES&PC planning and review, and local program overview criteria.  This course is approved by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission and is taught by a certified trainer. This course includes an exam administered by an approved proctor.  A government issued photo I.D. must be presented to take the exam.

 In order to obtain Level 1B certification, you must:

  • Complete 60 days work experience in the field of erosion and sediment control or obtain a Level 1A Certification
  • Attend an approved Level 1B Seminar
  • Submit an application for certification (provided in course)
  • Pass the Level 1B certification exam
